Hunted Hill Guest House is located in the beautiful hill station of McLeod Ganj near Dharamsala. At an altitude of approximately 1,800 metres, McLeod Ganj enjoys a cooler climate all year round with tourists coming to stay in it's many hotels and guest houses. McLeod Ganj is also the home of his Holiness the Dalai Lama and is popular with tourists and Buddhist students alike. McLeod Ganj is nine kilometers by bus route and 4kms uphill from lower Dharamsala. Most of the inhabitants of lower Dharamsala are Indians, McLeod Ganj is primarily a Tibetan area.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama settled in McLeod Ganj in the 1960's and with him came the Tibetan refugee population. Since that time McLeod Ganj has become an important area for the Tibetan refugees. The two main roads of McLeod Ganj are lined up hotels, guest houses and restaurants catering for the tourist population and shops line the narrow streets selling traditional Tibetan arts and handicrafts.

Dharamsala has also become an important centre housing the democratically elected Tibetan Government in Exile. The headquarters are located approximately 2kms above Dharamsala next to the Library of Tibetan Works & Archives at Gangchen Kyishong. The Library of Tibetan Works & Archives is an important centre featuring daily philosophy teachings by highly experienced Tibetan teacher and translated into English.

McLeod Ganj also caters to visitors who are interested in Tibetan culture, language and alternative therapies and massage.
